Journalist

Writing is my passion. I’ve been a freelance journalist for over twenty years and have written about rock stars, movie stars, photographers, food, travel destinations, urban infrastructure and technology. In many ways the subject is irrelevant. My focus is in teasing out the story. Profiles features are my specialty.

Author! Author!

I’m also the author of two books – Rock Chicks The Hottest Female Rockers from the 1960’s to Now (2007) and The Price of Love (2005). An updated version of Rock Chicks will be released in the US and Australia October 2010 featuring new chapters on Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth), Kim Deal (Pixies/Breeders), and Karen O (Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs).

Photography

As a photographic chronicler I use photographic images to tell stories. At present my focus is on reflective imagery and how through reflections we are able see the world around us from different perspectives. As an art form photography gives me the freedom to explore without boundaries.
